Our standard sketch includes: One main subject, Up to 3 additional Stuffies, One custom scene inspired by your story or vision (ie tea party, picnic)

Additional subjects and characters may be added through the available add-on options.

Your scene may include your child, family members, pets, beloved stuffed animals, meaningful characters, or other special details that help tell your story. Each piece is individually drawn using the photographs and ideas you provide, creating a deeply personal keepsake filled with imagination and heirloom charm.

Your finished artwork is printed on 5 × 7 linen paper with a softly grainy, aged texture, giving it the nostalgic feeling of an illustration discovered inside a treasured vintage storybook.

Our Side-Profile Sketch Style

To preserve the soft and whimsical line-work style of these illustrations, we create the children using side-profile reference photographs rather than front-facing photographs.

Working from a side profile allows us to maintain the delicate, simplified quality of the artwork while still capturing recognizable details such as their hair, facial profile, clothing, and overall character.

Front-facing photographs may still be helpful for clothing, hair, or other supporting details, but a clear side-profile image is required for each child included as a subject within the artwork.

Artistic Representation

These illustrations are intended to be an artistic representation rather than an exact portrait.

Due to the whimsical line-work style, the process of combining multiple reference photographs, and the way each person or character is brought to life within the scene, some facial details, poses, proportions, and features may be softly interpreted.

The artwork is not intended to recreate a photograph exactly. Instead, it transforms the people and characters you love into a gentle, storybook-inspired illustration while preserving the details that make the scene meaningful to you.

This artistic interpretation is part of the charm and allows each piece to feel like a true page from a vintage storybook rather than a traditional portrait.

Reference Images

All reference images and scene details must be submitted within 24 hours of ordering.

Please send:

  • Clear side-profile photographs for the main subject
  • Reference images of each additional character, pet, or stuffed animal
  • Your idea or inspiration for the scene
  • Any important details you would like included

Images may be uploaded at checkout or sent through Instagram or by replying to your order confirmation email.

Orders without the required photographs and information may be cancelled and refunded as shop credit.

Proof and Approval

A sample proof of your illustration will be sent within three weeks of receiving all required photographs and scene details.

Please review your proof carefully. Once the artwork has been approved, it will move into production.

Shipping

Your finished 5 × 7 linen print will ship within approximately one week of final approval.

Returns and Exchanges

Due to the personalized and hand-drawn nature of each piece, returns and exchanges are not accepted.

However, should you experience an issue with your order, please contact us within three days of receiving it so we can help.

The finished result is a warm and nostalgic piece of artwork that feels as though your own little story has been illustrated and preserved forever.

What do you need to create my artwork?
  • Silhouettes require a clear side profile 
  • Sketches and petite portraits can be front-facing or slightly angled 
  • To ensure we can begin on time, photo submission is required within this window. For helpful examples, see our full Photo Instruction Guide.
What happens if I miss the photo deadline?

Because each custom drop has a limited number of spots, orders without a photo submitted within 24 hours will be refunded in the form of shop credit to use during a future release.
Will I receive a preview or a proof?

Yes, for most custom pieces, we provide a digital proof within approximately 2 weeks of receiving your photo. This will be sent via Instagram or email, and once confirmed, we’ll proceed with printing or production. Please note that preview options and timing may vary by product and are detailed in each listing.
What is your turnaround time?

Turnaround times vary depending on the product: 

  • Prints typically ship within 1 week of proof confirmation 
  • Jewelry ship within 2–2.5 weeks 
  • Specialty pieces such as Embroidery takes longer due to the nature of the piece.  
  • Please refer to individual listings for exact timing as it should be included in each listing

What age can you create artwork for?

We create silhouettes and portraits of all ages, from brand-new babies to grandparents. The most recognizable features tend to show clearly around 3 months old and up, but we welcome you to send photos of younger little ones too. We’ll guide you if it might need adjusting.
Do you create artwork for pets or memorials?

Yes. some of our most heartfelt work includes pet silhouettes, ultrasounds, memorial fingerprint engravings, and pieces created to honor loved ones who’ve passed. These are handled with extra care and tenderness.
How do I take the best photo for my piece?

Capturing the right photo is one of the most important steps in creating a beautiful, detailed keepsake.

How long does shipping take?
  • Canada & USA: Typically arrives within 2–10 business days (tracked) 
  • International: Timing varies based on destination and customs  Shipping timelines begin after the final proof has been approved and your piece has been created. 
Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We ship worldwide. Please note: 

  • All taxes, duties, and customs fees are the responsibility of the customer 
  • Once a package is in transit, we are not responsible for delivery delays, but we are happy to help you submit a claim if needed.
What happens if my package is lost or damaged?

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery if something arrives damaged or if your package is marked “Delivered” but cannot be located. We’ll do our best to help you resolve it.
